Dallas, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball dropped a three-set match to DBU (13-25, 12-25, 15-25) on Tuesday night at the Burg Center.
The Dustdevils were led offensively by
Mia Molina, who tallied six kills and four digs, while
Aryana Ledet added five kills.
Sierra Long and
Danea King chipped in with four and three kills respectively, with King also posting two blocks at the net.
Natalia Cisneros paced the setting effort with nine assists and an ace, while
Dilean Bounds contributed three assists and an ace of her own.
Despite strong stretches in the opening and closing frames, TAMIU was unable to slow down DBU's efficient attack, as the Patriots hit .354 as a team. The Dustdevils recorded 20 kills, three aces, and three team blocks on the night.
Texas A&M International returns to Laredo this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups, hosting St. Mary's on Friday and St. Edward's on Saturday inside the KCB.
