Austin, Texas - Texas A&M International University's Women's Basketball team battled fiercely against the Lady Moutaineers, from Western Colorodo University, in a 68-61 game at the St. Eduards Thanksgiving Tournament.
During the first quarter, the Lady Dustdevils were leading an eight point difference for a score of 15-23. Then the second quarter was a much closer range with 11 points made by the Dustdevils and the Mountaineers scoring 14 points. Unfortunately, the third quarter was the toughest for the Dustdevils only scoring 9 points; as compared to 20 points by the Mautaineers. For the final quarter, the Lady Dustdevils hustled to catch-up and tighten the score to salvage the game, but fell short by 7 points despite their best efforts.
At the end of the game, the Lady Dustdevils had a tough loss, but the leading women for our program were
Aaliyah McMillan as the leading scorer with 23 total points and 5 steals and
Racheal Emmanuel leading in team rebounds for 6 total opportunities and contributing 14 points for the total score of the Lady Dustdevils.
