Box Score Laredo, Texas- It was Youth Day at TAMIU and the KCB Gymnasium was buzzing with excitement. Not only was there basketball action going on but there was Baseball action right around the corner at the fields. It was a busy day at TAMIU as schools from around the city came to support the Dustdevil basketball teams. TAMIU entered the evening 10-14 overall while the Hilltoppers entered the evening 14-9 overall.

It was back and forth action as both teams were relentless on the offensive end. The Dustdevils came out scorching hot from three as they nailed five triples in the first half. The Dustdevils would go into the locker room leading 30-22. However, the Hilltoppers would come out fighting. The Dustdevils outscored the Hilltoppers 15-3 from three. The second half would be a different story as Jamison Kay from SEU would end up scoring a career-high of 26 points to help lead the Hilltoppers. Both teams would end up getting a stop to go into overtime at 57-57. A big three from
Anthony Ignowski would also led to a foul underneath the basket to help the Dustdevil get a quick five point turnaround. However, in overtime the Dustdevils struggled to keep up with the scoring of SEU as they outscored TAMIU 13-8 in OT.
Esteban Roacho would have a big night for the Dustdevils with 20 points.
