Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils took on the No. 21 Lubbock Christian Chaps Thursday night in what ended up being a close game. The Chaps ended up defeating TAMIU 80-70 on the road.

The Dustdevils kept the Chaps within arms reach going into the locker room down 34-31 at the half. The Dustdevils held the Chaps to 37 percent from the field. However, the second half was a different story as LCU came out shooting 64 percent from the field.

TAMIU shot 47.8 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from three and 75 percent from the free throw line. During the game there were five lead changes and two ties. Caylen Goff Brown continued his great offensive performance leading the Dustdevils with 24 points. Isaiah Somers helped the Dustdevils on the boards, leading the team with seven. Anthony Ignowski directed his team and tallied eight assists on the night for the Dustdevils.
 
TAMIU moves to 12-17 on the year and 7-13 in the conference. The Dustdevils will take on Midwestern State Saturday at 3:00 PM at home. It will be senior day for the Dustdevils.
