Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils took on the Sul Ross Lobos in doubleheader action Sunday evening. The Dustdevils were coming off of a sweep the previous day against UTPB.

Game One
The Lobos would be the first on the board as they drove home a run in the top of the third. TAMIU was not able to answer until the bottom of the fifth when
Queenandra Dunn singled to left field allowing
Kristin Maldonado to come back in as a pinch runner.
Alana Garcia singled, allowing Maldonado to advance to second.
Victoria Gonzalez then singled, which allowed Maldonado to score.
Katelyn Luera came in as a pinch runner and soon stole second on the next play.
Kennedy Griego then drove home Garcia off of a fielders choice. The Dustdevils ended up scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Sul Ross State would bounce back and tally two runs of their own in the top of the 6
th. However, TAMIU would then tally three runs of their own in the bottom of the 6
th.
Katelyn Luera,
Isabella Perez, and
Victoria Espinoza would all come across the plate for the Dustdevils. The Lobos could not answer in the top of the 7
th, leading to a Dustdevil victory.
Zakayia Fredrick would start off the day in the circle for the Dustdevils, pitching five innings and facing twenty batters.
Kylie Goad would come in to help pick up the win as the pitcher for the Dustdevils.
Game Two
The Lobos would be quick to start the game as they would go up 2-0 in the top of the first. The Dustdevils would answer as
Eva Garcia would drive home an RBI.
Jenna Fabela would then single to left center driving home a Dustdevil run. Garcia would then go on to score off of a wild pitch. The Dustdevils would put three runs on the board in the bottom of the third. The Lobos would tally two more runs in the top of the second to go up one against TAMIU and then tally on one more in the top of the fifth. However, the rest of the way was all Dustdevils Softball as
Victoria Gonzalez would start the Dustdevils off with a homerun. Dunn, Hernandez and Rodriguez would all cross the plate for the Dustdevils during the inning. Leading the Dustdevils to a 7-5 sweep over Sul Ross State.
Tessa Ramirez, Taylor Gray and
Andrea Hataway would all enter the circle for the Dustdevils. Ramirez would come away with the win.

The Dustdevils move to 12-7 on the year and will be on the road this week. The Dustdevils will take on top ranked Lubbock Christian and top ranked Angelo State on Friday and on Sunday.
