Dustdevils Fall to Javelinas in Season Finale

Kingsville, Texas – The Dustdevils traveled to Kingsville to take on the TAMUK Javelinas in the 2024-2025 season finale. Despite outscoring the Javelinas by 10 in the fourth quarter, the Dustdevils fell by a final score of 82-63.

The Dustdevils shot 23-62 (37.1%) from the field and 10-20 (50%) from three-point range in the game.

TAMIU outscored the Javelinas 28-18 in the fourth quarter, holding the Javelinas to 8-17 (47.1%) from the field, and just 1-5 (20%) from beyond the arc.

Josie Igherighe finished as the game's leading scorer with 22 points and tallied 11 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the year. Trinity Chears also added 13 points for the Dustdevils.

Tonight's game concludes the 2024-2025 season for TAMIU women's basketball who finish the year 5-23 (4-18 LSC).  Igherighe finishes the year leading the Dusdevils in points per game, with 12.8. Mia Monroe led the team from three-point range, sinking 29 three-pointers on the year. Igherighe also led TAMIU defensively, leading the team in rebounds (205), blocks (6) and steals (42).
