San Angelo, TX- The Dustdevils would close out day three against the Rambelles in a non-conference game. The Dustdevils are off to their best start since the 2021 season. The Dustdevils entered the game 6-4 on the season while the Rambelles entered the game 8-1.

Angelo State was the first to strike, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Dustdevils were able to answer in the top of the fourth as
Eva Garcia singled to get on base for the Dustdevils.
Jenna Fabela hit a single to left field to advance Garcia to second.
Katelyn Luera would then come in to pinch run for Fabela.
Zaria Brigham would step up to the plate and singled to left field, driving home two runs for the Dustdevils. Angelo State would answer back in the bottom of the fifth with two runs scored. In the Sixth,
Alexia Hernandez would hit a sac fly in order to drive home
Damaris Saldivar who pinch ran for
Queenandra Dunn, who was walked to first. The Rambelles would tie on one more run in the bottom of the sixth. The Dustdevils were not able to answer in the 7
th as ASU took the 5-3 victory at home.

The Dustdevils finished with three runs, six hits and three RBI's.
Zakayia Fredrick would pitch five innings for the Dustdevils, facing 23 batters. Fredrick recorded three strikeouts and only allowed six hits on the evening. Freshman
Nevaeh Herrera would close for the Dustdevils only pitching one inning for the Dustdevils.

The Dustdevils move to 6-5 overall. TAMIU will go to Eastern New Mexico University Friday to take on the Greyhounds at 2:00 PM CDT.
