Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils Softball campaign continues this weekend at home as they stand off against the Rattlers and Hilltoppers. The TAMIU Softball team will enter the weekend 15-16 overall on the year and 9-11 in conference play. The Dustdevils are coming off a weekend where they played the number one team in the nation in UT Tyler and split with a top forty team in the country in Texas Woman's University.
This Friday the Dustdevils will take on St. Mary's University at 12:15 PM and 2:45 PM CDT. It will be a maroon out event. The Dustdevils are 12-51 all-time against the Rattlers. They have dropped the last three games against the Rattlers. In the last ten matchups, TAMIU has won two of the last eight. On Sunday, the Dustdevils will take on St. Edwards in which they are 26-40 against all time. The Dustdevils are going into the weekend losing the last game against the Hilltoppers. However, TAMIU has split the last ten games with the Hilltoppers. Sunday will be Youth Day at the TAMIU Softball Fields. The start time for the Sunday slate is 12:15 PM and 2:45 PM CDT.
