Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevils took on the St. Mary's Rattlers Friday afternoon. It was a windy day as two conference foes took to action to try to keep climbing the LSC conference ladder.

In game one,
Zakayia Fredrick,
Nevaeh Herrera and
Kylie Goad all took the circle for the Dustdevils. The Rattlers started off strong, scoring three runs in the top of the first. TAMIU would answer in the bottom of the first. The two teams would each score a run in the second and third inning, keeping the game close. However, it would be the Rattlers scoring four in the top of the fifth and a single run in the seventh which would seal the deal. The Rattlers would win game one, 10-5. The Dustdevils recorded five runs, eleven hits and three errors in the game.
Kennedy Griego would finish with two runs, four hits and one RBI for the Dustdevils.
Victoria Gonzalez would also bring in two RBI's for the Dustdevils.
Victoria Espinoza and
Jenna Fabela would each drive home one run as well. Fabela, Greigo and Gonzalez all homered in the first game.

Game two would turn around for the Dustdevils as they would end up beating the Rattlers 8-5 in seven innings. TAMIU would finish with eight runs, ten hits and three errors on the evening.
Kennedy Griego would have a big game again as she recorded three hits and three RBI's.
Victoria Gonzalez would knock a deep home run out to left field which would put her at two RBI's on the evening.
Tessa Ramirez and
Madison Taylor Gray would be in the circle for the second game. Ramirez would walk away with the win on the day and Gray would end up with the save for the Dustdevils.

Youth day will be Sunday at 12:15 PM CDT at the TAMIU Softball Fields. The Dustdevils will be playing against conference foe St. Edwards. Autographs and giveaways will be there on a first come first serve basis.
