Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Softball team took on the West Texas A&M Buffs who are sitting at number two in the Massey ratings for D2 Softball. It was alumni day at the Dustdevil Softball Field and fans were ready to see these Lone Star Conference foes in action. The Dustdevils were coming into the game after bouncing Midwestern State in  a doubleheader on Friday.
Zakayia Fredrick and 
Madison Taylor Gray took to the circle for game one against the Buffs. The game started off rocking for both teams but soon the Buffs would take a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning.  TAMIU was unable to answer as the Buffs would have a big inning in the top of the fifth inning in which they would end up scoring seven runs to run rule the Dustdevils. The second game found 
Kylie Goad and 
Tessa Ramirez in the circle. The Dustdevils and the Buffs would struggle to score during the game. The defense on both sides was tremendous and it was not until the top of the sixth inning that the Buffs were able to drive home two runs. TAMIU would record four hits but were not able to score against the second team in the country.

Jenna Fabela and 
Victoria Espinoza would all record hits for the Dustdevils.
 
The Dustdevils tough Lone Star Conference schedule will continue as they the #1 team in the nation on Friday in UT Tyler and the 35
th team in the nation on Sunday in Texas Woman's.
