Laredo, Texas- The Texas A&M International Dustdevil Softball Team took on the Texas Woman's Pioneers Wednesday. The Lone Star Conference teams are in contention for the playoffs this postseason. The Dustdevils entered the game 22-25 overall and 15-19 overall. The Dustdevils are 11-7 at home on the year.

The Dustdevils took full control of game one after three Dustdevils would homer.
Victoria Gonzalez, TAMIU's second all-time home run leader, would homer twice in the game and finish with three RBI's.
Queenandra Dunn and
Zaria Brigham both would hit homeruns in the game to help seal the deal as the Dustdevils beat the Pioneers 5-2 in game one.
Kylie Goad would have an outstanding performance in the circle for the Dustdevils. Goad would pitch all seven innings for the Dustdevils, facing 26 batters and recording four strikeouts while only allowing two runs on six hits. The second game, the Dustdevils would fall just short as the Dustdevils would fall to the Pioneers 4-3. The Dustdevils would record three runs, six hits and two errors in the second game. Fredrick took the circle for the Dustdevils in the second game and would also pitch all seven innings. Fredrick would face 29 batters and one strikeout on the evening. Finishing the evening with a 4.00 ERA.

The Dustdevils will play again Friday as they take on the #2 team in the nation in UT-Tyler. It will be senior day as the ceremony will take place after the conclusion of game two.
