Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils (1-0-2) faced off with the University of Jamestown in day one of the TAMIU Classic and the second annual MobFest. Two second half goals were the difference as TAMIU earned the 3-1 win over the Jimmies.
Jamestown got on the board first with a goal in the fourth minute to take an early 1-0 lead.
The Dustdevils earned a penalty kick in the 18th minute and
Chris Fuentes scored to tie the game at one.
Heiko Dromer gave the Dustdevils a 2-1 lead with his 68
th minute goal and
Byron Aguilar added some insurance with a goal in the 75
th minute.
Nicklas Berg-Eriksen was in the net for TAMIU and recorded three saves on four shots on goal from the Jimmies.
The Dustdevils are in action Sunday in day two of the TAMIU Classic against Adams State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
