Biography

2015:
Martinez finished in the Top 15 at the the Texas A&M Tribute at the Colony (12). Martinez capped off his season by winning the PGA Minority National Championship.

2014:
Martinez finished in the Top 20 in the Heartland Conference (20).

2013:
Martinez finished in the Top 20 in the Heartland Conference (19).

2011: Northeast Lakeview College
Martinez began his collegiate career at Northeast Lakeview College in Universal City, Texas. 

High School: Canyon High School (Class of 2010)
Martinez was a two-sport athlete at Canyon, lettering in golf for (4) years and cross country for (1) year. In 2007 he was named to First Team All-District and First Team All-Region. In 2008 he was named Second Team All-District and Second Team All-Region. In his Junior and Senior season he was a member of the Academic All-Region Team. Martinez qualified for Regionals in all (4) years of high school.

Personal:
Stevie is the son of Debi and Henry Martinez. He has two siblings, John and Kelly. Martinez has played golf for 13 years. His favorite athletes are Tiger Woods, Arian Foster and Herschel Walker. Stevies's favorite sports teams are the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets. Martinez enjoys vacationing in Florida. Stevie's favorite book is "Seven Days in Utopia" by David L. Cook. His favorite quote is "If you ain't first, you're last." Martinez chose TAMIU because of the small campus atmosphere and the opportunities it presented. HIs role models are his parents. After TAMIU Stevie wants to work with the NCAA and run for the Texas House of Representatives. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, tubing, golfing with his family, and listening to country music.
