2019:
The Dusty Award winner for Female Runner of the Year, Escamilla completed a fantastic season in which she took part in six meets and earned three top 10 finishes, two of which were top five placements. Her best race was the UIW XC Invite where she placed fourth and had a season best time of 19:02.6. Her second top five finish was the following meet at the Saints Invitational, finishing fifth. Escamilla raced her way to top 75 finishes in the Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championship and the NCAA DII South Central Region Cross Country Championship, finishing both in 71st place with times of 25:49.8 and 24:05.2 respectively.

2018:
Escamilla ran a total of six races. Her best time was in the 2018 OLLU Invitational (5K) which was 19:56.2. Her best 6K time was at the Concordia University Invitational, finishing at the 24:09.8 mark. In the Heartland Conference Championships (6K) she timed a 22:37.8 and in the NCAA Division ll South Central Region Cross Country Championships (6K), she posted a time of 24:18.5.

2017:
Escamillo competed in the final three meets of the year for the Dustdevils including a pair of top-15 finishes. She finished 14th in her first collegiate race at the Islander Splash followed by a 15th place finish at the UIW Invitational covering the 6,000-meter course in 25:25.2. She was the fourth finisher for TAMIU at the Heartland Conference Championships finishing 27th running a seasonal-best time of 24:24.8 over 6K. 

High School:
Region and Area Champion in 1,600-meters while finishing 9th at the 2017 UIL 5A State Championships in a time of 5:32.30. Finished fourth in the 3,200-meters at the Region IV meet running 11:45.36.
 
Personal:
Escamilla is the daughter of Emerico and Cristina Escamilla and has two siblings, Migual and Leonardo. She chose to attend TAMIU because it is close to home and offers the opportunity to study abroad. After graduating, she wants to become a physical therapist. In her free time, Escamilla like to hang out with friends and watching movies.
