2019:
Martinez competed in six meets and earned top 20 finishes in two of them. His best time on the year came at the UIW XC Invite with a time of 21:47.8. Martinez's best finish was at the Concordia Classic where he finished 18th. In the Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championship, Martinez finished with a time of 28:19.6 to finish 71st. Competing in the NCAA DII South Central Region Cross Country Championship, Martinez finished the 10K with a time of 37:05.72.
2018:
Martinez ran a total of five races, and his best was Concordia University Invitational (8k) where he ran 28:46.6 giving him the 10
th place. In the Heartland Conference Championships Martinez placed 48
th and posted a time of 27:47.8.
High School:
Martinez attended Alexander High School in Laredo, Texas where he was a four-year member of the Track & Field and Cross Country teams. Martinez was a 2018 Regional Qualifier for and was named Top Dawg in Track and Cross Country in 2018.
Personal:
Martinez is the son of Maria and Oscar Martinez. Martinez has an older brother, Andres. Martinez will be pursuing a major in System Engineering.
