2021:
Appeared in 19 games where he averaged 7.04 ERA within 23 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts.

2020: 
Appeared in 12 games for the Dustdevils where he logged 5.01 ERA in 23.1 innings pitches with 18 strikekouts.

2019: Appeared in 13 games with six starts... 8.16 ERA in 32.0 innings pitched...19 strikeouts.

2018: Mendiola appeared in 13 games including nine starts on the mound for the Dustdevils in 2018 where he went 2-7 with an ERA of 7.13. He allowed 59 runs (47 earned) on 85 hits and 24 walkis while striking out 42. He picked up his first win of the season on Feb. 21 against Houston-Victoria allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks with one strikeout over six innings. He struck out a career-high eight in his next appearance against Huston Tillotson on Feb. 28 in Austin. Struck at least one batter in all 13 appearances. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Mendiola played baseball, soccer, and track at United High School, Laredo TX.

CLUB SPORTS: Mendiola played All Star, Travel Team, and for Laredo Heat.

PERSONAL: Mendiola is the son of Hugo and Erika. He is the brother of Elvis. Mendiola chose TAMIU because it is close to home. His father is his inspirational figure. Post TAMIU, he plans to open his own business. On his free time, he enjoys working out.
