2019 TAMIU Baseball Newcomer of the Year

2021: 
Holsey made a start in 13 games for the Dustdevils. He averaged .171 in 41 at bats with nine runs, seven hits, three RBI, and seven walks. 

2020:
In a shortened season, Holsey appeared in 22 games with with 22 starts. In 79 at bats, he logged a .367 average with 29 hits, 13 runs, eight extra base hits (including two triples and a home run), eight RBI and 15 walks. He also posted a .519 slugging percentage.

2019:
Holsey appeared in 46 games with 46 starts. He posted a .305 average in 164 at-bats with 50 hits, including 14 extra base hits (4 home runs, 1 triple, 9 doubles), 20 RBI, .445 slugging percentage and 36 runs. His season high of 5-for-6 at the plate came in a 15-10 win over Lubbock Christian.

Prior to TAMIU:
Holsey played baseball at University of the Incarnate Word under Coach Patrick Hallmark.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Holsey graduated from Calhoun High School and played under Coach Santos Alvarado. At CHS, he was named 2016 All-State shortstop, 2016 First Team All-District shortstop, 2015 First Team All-District second baseman, 2014 Second Team All-District second baseman, Team Offensive Player of the Year, Team MVP and a two-time Academic All-District honoree.
 
PERSONAL:
Holsey is the son of Rachel and James Holsey, and has a sister. He is majoring in business administration.
