Personal: 
Boen is the son of Monicah Chepkoech and David Lelei. He has three siblings, older sister Valentines Chepchirchir and younger brothers Nicholas Kibiwot and Rodgers Kipkemboi. Boen is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology.
