Prior to joining the Dustdevils, Chacon attended New Mexico Military Institute where he played under Coach Chris Cook.

Attended Faith Christian Academy where he played baseball for four years. Appeared and won the TAPS Championships four years in a row.

Chacon is the son of Graciela Rodriguez and Mario Chacon. He has three siblings, Monica, Megan, and Matt. He will be pursuing a major in Criminal Justice.
