In 2024, Laura appeared in all 18 games, starting 13. She scored three goals for six points.

Prior to TAMIU:
Laura Cardenas transferred to Texas A&M International University after playing at Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer, Iowa, where she earned recognition on the All-Conference Team and was named to the First Team in 2021 under head coach Sam Cain. Laura also spent time at Bellevue University in Nebraska where her team won the Continental Athletic Conference Championship in 2022.

High School:
Laura graduated from Instituto Pedagogico Crear in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2017.

Born on January 6, 2001, in Bogotá, Colombia, Laura is the daughter of Alberto Cardenas and Monica Sanmiguel. She has two siblings, Sebastian and Lina. She is majoring in business administration with a minor in marketing.
