Born in Laredo, Texas. Graduated from United High School is 2011. Lettered in Baseball. District, Bi-district, and Area Champions (2010-11). Back to back All District team, All City, All Region teams as a 2nd baseman for the State ranked Longhorns.

Played at TAMIU from 2011-2013. Started every game as a sophomore during TAMIU's ranked season (Top 25) for the first time in program history, as well as getting TAMIU's first playoff win in the conference tournament.

Gonzalez is currently earning his bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor is physiology. He has aspirations of someday being a head coach at an university or high school.
