Leonardo Almanza is a freshman defender for Texas A&M International University and is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. A native of Laredo, Texas, Leo is the son of Claudia and Fernando Almanza and was born on June 26, 2008.

High School:
Leo Almanza attended John B. Alexander High School in Laredo, Texas, where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner under head coach Daniel Hermosillo. A member of district championship teams during his freshman and senior seasons, Almanza established himself as one of the area's top defenders. He earned Defensive Player of the Year honors three times, was named First Team All-District on three occasions, and finished his high school career as the program's all-time leader in Defensive MVP awards. He graduated from John B. Alexander High School in 2026.
