Biography

2021: 
Gamboa started in 43 games this season, averaging at .286 in 49 at-bats. She made 14 hits (three of them being doubles and one home run). 

2020:
Gamboa started all 21 games of the shortened year for the Dustdevils. She hit .167 in 30 AB's, collecting five hits, three runs and two RBI.

2019:
In her sophomore season, Gamboa had a slash line of .280/.311/.312 in 58 games played including 57 starts...Recorded a pair of seven-game hit streaks over the course of 15 games between February 10th and March 9th...During the stretch she totaled 19 hits (19-for-45) and batted .422.

2018:
Gamboa made an immediate impact for the Dustdevils appearing in 57 games including 51 starts in 2018 where she hit .224 with two doubles and three home runs with 20 RBIs for a slugging percentage of .315. She also scored 14 runs while walking 15 times for an on-base percentage of .296. Recorded a season-high three hits against Newman on March 10th going 3 for 4 while driving in a run. She also drove in and scored three runs in TAMIU’s 23-12 victory over Adams State on February 10th. Hit her first career home run against Florida Tech on February 10th in San Angelo. 

High School:
Graduated from Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Laredo, Texas in 2017. She starred on the softball team for the Wolves.  
 
Personal:
Gamboa is the daughter of Claudia and Manuel Gamboa. She has two siblings, Manuel and Marianna. Gamboa is majoring in kinesiology.
