Norman Ramos

Coach Norman Ramos is an accomplished collegiate soccer coach with a proven track record of success across men’s and women’s programs at multiple levels. A former student-athlete at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Ramos played and graduated under current head coach Claudio Arias, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to player development and program excellence.

Ramos began his coaching journey in 2016 with the Illinois Central College (ICC) Men’s Soccer program in Peoria, Illinois. In 2019, he joined Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois, as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. His leadership and commitment to growth earned him a promotion in 2021 to Head Coach of both programs, where he guided the Heartland women’s team to a national championship, cementing his reputation as a coach capable of building championship-caliber teams.

In 2022, Ramos returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach with the TAMIU men’s soccer program before transitioning to the TAMIU women’s soccer staff from 2023 to 2025. His ability to adapt, mentor, and contribute to both sides of the game highlighted his versatility and coaching acumen.

As of 2025, Ramos serves as the Associate Coach for TAMIU Men’s Soccer, bringing his championship experience, player-first approach, and deep understanding of TAMIU’s culture to elevate the program in pursuit of continued success.
