2015:
In her Senior season Zapien played in 16 games, starting all 16. She finished the season with (1) assist and (1) shot on goal. In her time at TAMIU, Zapien finished with (3) assists. 

2014:
As a Junior with the Dustdevils, Zapien appeared in 17 games for the Dustdevils, starting 10 of those games. She had (1) assist and recorded (3) shots on goal.

2012:
In her second season Zapien appeared in 16 games for the Dustdevils. She finished the season with (1) assist.

2011:
Zapien Redshirted in her Freshman season with the Dusdevils. 

High School: Skyline High School (Class of 2011)
Crystal, a Center-Midfielder lettered in soccer for (3) years. She was named Offensive MVP twice in her (3) seasons. As a Senior she was named Team Captain. Zapien was named to the All-District First Team twice at Skyline. Additionally Cystal was a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Personal:
Crystal is the daughter of Nancy and Calixto Zapien. She has three siblings, Amy, Cristian, and Ivan. Crystal chose TAMIU because of the welcoming campus and the soccer program. Her role model is her Father. After TAMIU Zapien wants to teach in an inner-city school and pursue speech therapy in grad school. In her spare time Crystal enjoys reading.
