Coming from Laredo Junior Volleyball, Bustamante worked with all age divisions and dedicated her time to the growth of her athletes. Volleyball has always had a role in Anabel's life as she played through college and continued coaching after graduation.Â

Additionally, Bustamante served as the Assistant Coach at Volleyball Performance Academy from 2016 to 2018. After her time at VPA, Bustamante coached at Lyndon B. Johnson High School Setting Clinics from 2018 to 2022.Â

Bustamante started her volleyball career at Laredo College, where she found much success, and continued her career at Huston-Tillotson University. During her time at HTU, Bustamante collected plenty of accolades. In 2019, she was Setter of the Year, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Academic, Setter of the Week, Team Captain, and a Red River Conference Champion.Â

Anabel graduated from TAMIU with her Bachelors of Science in Biology, Pre-Dental, and was a member of TrailBlazers Organization: Student Dental Network.Â
