Michael Edmond joined TAMIU Volleyball in August 2019, and is entering his first season as an assistant coach. Edmond brings nearly two decades of experience in volleyball.

Edmond joins TAMIU after two seasons as head coach at Southwestern Oregon Community College. In his second season with the Lakers, his team doubled its win total from his first season.

Prior to his time at Southwestern Oregon Community College, he spent four years leading the Siuslaw Volleyball Club. He also spent two years as the head coach at Moose Lake High School in Minnesota.

He also has experience as an assistant at NCAA Division III Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and as a student volunteer with both men’s and women’s programs at NCAA Division I Penn State.

Edmond earned a master’s degree from National University, and received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State.

Edmond is married to his wife Kristin and together they have six children.
