Coach ZaQuae Downton brings a strong background in player development and competitive success to the program. She spent two years coaching at Yavapai College, where she helped guide the team to impressive winning records and back-to-back conference tournament appearances. During her tenure, she played a key role in supporting student-athletes both on and off the court, with several of her players graduating and transferring to NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA programs.

A former student-athlete herself, Coach Downton earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Union University, where she competed as a member of the volleyball team. She is passionate about developing well-rounded athletes, fostering academic achievement, and building competitive teams.
