2016: Garcia-Escobedo looks to compete for a key role with the Dustdevils this season.


High School: Highlands High School (Class of 2016)
Garcia-Escobedo played varsity volleyball and soccer  as a libero in volleyball and midfield in soccer. In volleyball, she was honorable mentioned, All-Academic, and made playoffs for (3) years. In soccer, she was honorable mentioned, First Team All-District, Second Team All-District, All-Academic, reached playoffs for (3) years, and was named Team Captain her senior year.


Personal: Genesis Garcia-Escobedo is the daughter of Andrea and Felipe Garcia. She is joined by her (6) siblings: Andriana Garcia, Carmen Garcia, Adam Garcia, Loy Garcia, Julio Arevalo, and Roger Arevalo. Garcia-Escobedo chose TAMIU becuase it was a great fit acedemically and has a welcoming environment. Her inspirational figure would be her father for his hard working ethics and accomplishments. Her future aspirations are to obtain a Master's Degree in Accounting and to have a set career. Her favorite athlete is Nicole Davis who plays for the United States Volleyball Team. In her spare time, Escobedo enjoys spending time with family and friends.
