Henry Miller

Henry A. Miller joined TAMIU Student Success staff in 2009 as the Associate Director of Athletic Compliance and later transitioned to the Director of Athletic compliance in November of  2012.  His current duties include but are not limited to NCAA institutional control and compliance liaison for the NCAA and Heartland Conference.  Mr. Miller coordinates, monitors and verifies compliance with all NCAA Division II requirements, and to educate the various constituencies of the University and the athletics community concerning NCAA regulations.
 
Mr. Miller came to TAMIU after spending  nine years with the United Independent School District in Laredo, Texas as a Secondary  Advanced Placement Instructor.  Mr. Miller serves as a Board member of the Border Olympics and  the Webb County  Agricultural Tax Appraisal Board.  The function of the compliance officer is to coordinate, monitor and verify compliance with all NCAA Division II requirements, and to educate the various constituencies of the University and the athletics community concerning NCAA regulations.
 
A native of Laredo Texas, Mr. Miller is a 2000 Graduate of Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government with a Minor in History.  Mr. Miller received his master’s degree in Government with a minor in Educational Administration from TAMIU in 2012.
 
Mr. Miller and his wife Lisa are lifelong residents of Laredo Texas, and have two children Andrew 24 and Brian 17.
