Justin Brown

Justin Brown comes to Laredo with five years of live broadcasting experience and a bachelor's degree in electronic media from Texas State University.  

Before coming to TAMIU, Justin worked with the UTSA Roadrunners and Texas State Bobcats as a Broadcast Production Assistant responsible for doing live replay and directing shows on ESPN+.  

Justin got his start covering sports with KTSW 89.9 FM, the student ran radio station at Texas State. Within a year he became the Sports Director responsible for training his staff on Reporting, Production, and Broadcasting etiquette.  At KTSW 89.9 he called the 2023 NCAA Austin Regional, and received a College Broadcasting Incorporated First Place award in Live Sports Production.  

Justin Brown worked for the Sun Radio Sports Network as the voice of the Blanco Panthers and Dripping Springs Tigers. Brown was also the middle inning play by play voice for the Single-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Visalia Rawhide in the summer of 2024. 

Justin grew up in Galveston County and has a deep love for sports; this led him to call over 150+ games of numerous sports from the high school level to the pros.
