Zambanini comes to Laredo after eight years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Conemaugh Township High School. While there, she directed the athletic training efforts for all 12 sports.
She also served as an athletic trainer for multiple community events including directing the medical staff of the Ken Lantzy All-Star Football Game for eight years, as well as the local Pee Wee Football league for three years. Zambanini also served as a volunteer first responder for the Martella's Pharmacy AAABA Baseball team for seven years.
Before being named the Head Athletic Trainer at Conemaugh Township High School, she worked as the director of the summer strength and conditioning program for the school for five years.
Outside of work, she was also active in the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter. In 2017, she directed the athletic training efforts of a multi-sport summer camp. She also helped organize various FCA events, and led multiple groups of high school and college students on mission trips to the Bahamas for the past eight years.
While working on her bachelor's degree in athletic training at Liberty University, Zambanini had the opportunity to work with LU's NCAA Division I sports as a student athletic trainer. She earned her degree in 2010.
Zambanini is not unfamiliar with TAMIU as her brother, Arek, is the Associate Head Coach of the softball program.
