Women's Soccer Routs Oklahoma Christian

EDMOND, Oklahoma - Texas A&M International University added another win to its record setting season with a dominant 3-0 shutout over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday afternoon in sunny Edmond, Okla.  The non-conference victory improved TAMIU’s overall record to 11-3-1.
Valeria Jaramillo got the scoring started when she tapped in a Kim Garcia cross from close-range in the 34th minute.  Garcia sent the pass to Jaramillo on a trap and pass off of a free kick from 25 yards out.
The score stood at 1-0 at halftime before the Dustdevils sealed the win with second half goals by Laura Twinem and Claudia De Lara.  Twinem pounced on a dropped ball by the OC goalkeeper, connecting on a short-range shot in the 60th minute and De Lara headed a high bouncing ball into the net in the 62nd minute.
TAMIU finished with a 15-11 edge in shots taken with each team notching five shots on goal.  Katelin Jennings earned her first win of the season in goal, finishing with four saves in 78 minutes played between the posts.  Anna Martinez made one save in 12 minutes in a reserve role.
