Following a successful 2013 campaign, the Texas A&M International women's basketball team returns to the hardwood.

The Dustdevils travel to Wichita Falls to take on Midwestern State tonight at 7 p.m.

In her first-year as head coach, Michelle Bento-Jackson led TAMIU to the doorstep of the Heartland Conference Tournament. The Dustdevils finished 10-16 and it was just the third time in program history the team recorded a double-digit win total.

They'll have a tough test right from the beginning against a Midwestern State team, ranked No. 10 in the USA Today Preseason Poll. The Mustangs were 26-6 last year and were ranked in the final postseason poll at No. 19.

So far in 2013, MSU is 1-1 with a 13-point victory over Colorado State-Pueblo before falling 64-56 at Adams State (Colo).

"They have a very experienced team," Bento-Jackson said. "It is their home opener and it's going to be a big challenge for us. What we are looking for is seeing the growth from last week's exhibition game into tonight."
