LAREDO, Texas – In the second to last game of the regular season, Texas A&M International hosted Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Kinesiology and Convocation Building on Thursday. The Dustdevils eventually fell to the Lions, 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-18).

The Dustdevils were led by junior hitter Tasmin Apple and senior hitter Alex Ciszek's six kills apiece, while Samantha Gonzalez contributed five kills and a block. Lizzie Prieto killed off four points with an ace and a block.

Ciszek and Apple both finished with six points and both Prieto and Gonzalez were half a point behind with 5.5.

Caitlinn Williams had two kills and a block while Miaje Hubbard had a kill and a block.

Prieto finished with 18 of the Dustdevils 23 total assists. Alejandra Bustamante and Ciszek both led the defense with 11 digs. Sophia Quinones had 10 and Prieto dug out six balls.

The Dustdevils will return to action on Saturday for the season finale against Dallas Baptist. The game tips at noon at the TAMIU KCB. TAMIU will be celebrating senior day in honor of Ciszek and Quinones' career finales.
