LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International will enter its final home series of 2014 with one minor adjustment. The Dustdevils' doubleheader against the University of Texas of the Permian Basin on Friday will begin an hour early, at 1 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled to see first pitch at 2 p.m., but concerns with being able to complete the two games – one 7-inning and one 9-inning game – before sunset pushed the games up.
The Dustdevils (14-30, 6-18 Heartland Conference) will close their home season with the three-game series finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. The game will feature Senior Day celebrations at 12:40 p.m. and a special live performance of the "Star Spangled Banner" will be delivered by Jay Martinez immediately before the game.
