CLAREMORE, Okla. – Four Dustdevils finished with 10 or more points against Rogers State on Thursday in Claremore, Okla., and Texas A&M International University led by as many as nine points, but it was the host Hillcats that claimed the, 78-71, victory.
Senior sniper Patrick Carlson shot 5-for-8 from beyond the 3-point arc to finish with a team-high 17 points in just 26 minutes. Terrell Funches came off the bench for a 13-point, seven-rebound showing and Montrice McKnight and Anthony Alston finished with 11 and 10 points respectively.
Alston played a game-high 36 minutes.
The Dustdevils were turned over 16 times, allowing the Hillcats 26 points off giveaways.
The Dustdevils travel to Arkansas-Fort Smith for a 1 p.m. showdown on Jan. 10 before returning home to host St. Edward's on Jan. 15.
