COMMERCE, Texas – The Texas A&M International University Dustdevils dropped a doubleheader to Texas A&M-Commerce Tuesday afternoon at the John Cain Family Field.

GAME ONE – TAMIU started out the day at 2:00 p.m. with game one of the two-game series against the TAMU-Commerce Lions, taking the lead early on in the game and then unable to score as the Lions came out strong in the 4th inning.

The Dustdevils scored one run in the 1st, two runs in the 2nd, and one in the 3rd to total their overall four runs of the game.

The Lions started to battle in the 2nd inning scoring two runs, and were able to score runs in each of the following innings, with the 4th inning being their golden inning by adding four runs to the board.

TAMIU's freshman third baseman, Alyssa Acuna, led the team in game one, going 2-3 with one run and two RBI. Acuna had a double in the 3rd inning to help the Dustdevils put some numbers up on the scoreboard.

Following the homerun, the Lion's scored the winning run at the plate on a TAMIU error, with a final score of 4-5.
