EDMOND, Okla. – The Texas A&M International University Dustdevils (8-16, 1-8 Heartland) fell 2-4 against the Oklahoma Christian Eagles (15-9, 5-4 Heartland) Saturday afternoon at Dobson Field.

The Eagles got on top early in the game scoring one run in the bottom of the first inning on two Oklahoma Christian hits.

After a scoreless 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th inning, the Eagles went added to their sole run, with three runs in the bottom of the 5^th inning off of three Oklahoma Christian hits and three stolen bases.

In the top of the 7^th, the Dustdevils were able to score two runs off of a 2-RBI single by sophomore Daniel Cruz, scoring senior Andrew Arteaga and junior Cody Perez at the plate, making the score 2-4 OC.

Both the Dustdevils and Eagles had eight hits on the afternoon, though TAMIU struggled to score runs as they left 12 men on base throughout the game.

Senior Garrett Taggart (0-4) recorded the loss for the Dustdevils, pitching five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out four.

Sophomore Erasmo Gonzalez Jr went 2-3 at the plate, while Arteaga went 3-5 at the plate, scoring one run for the Dustdevils. Also hitting for the Dustdevils were Perez, Cruz, and junior Jeffrey Morgan with one hit apiece.

Tomorrow the Dustdevils will travel to Durant, Okla. To face Southeastern Oklahoma State (whom the Dustdevils previously went 2-1 against) in a non-conference game starting at 1 p.m.
