LAREDO, Texas (September 10, 2015),–,The Dustdevils played another Heartland Conference foe in a non-conference matchup at home on Thursday that left them with a one goal loss. No. 1 pre-season poll pick St. Edward's pulled a 0-1 victory over TAMIU with a single goal early in the 25th minute.

The lone goal was scored by the Hilltopper's Samuel Jackson, his first goal of the 2015 season.

TAMIU lead in saves, both Antonio Romero and Miguel Lucio splitting keeper duties, with 8 total over the Hilltoppers, who had 3.

Senior Norman Ramos made his debut for the 2015 season, placing multiple corner kick opportunities for scoring chances for the Dustdevils.

Two late fouls taken by TAMIU in the remaining 5 minutes of the game accelerated the clock time, and left the Dustdevils scoreless to cause the 0-1 loss.
