CLAREMORE, Oklahoma (October 20, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Soccer team kicked off a weekend road trip on Thursday night. TAMIU took on Rogers State in Claremore, drawing 2-2 after 110 minutes of play. The Dustdevils move to 1-13-1 overall (1-9-1 HC).
110 minutes would not be enough to settle Thursday's matchup in Claremore. The Dustdevils and Hillcats traded goals throughout the game, leading to a 2-2 draw.
The Hillcats jumped out early with a goal in the ninth minute. TAMIU would trail for the remainder of the first half, heading to half-time down 0-1.
Cio Bargallo changed things for the Dustdevils early in the second half. Bargallo netted a goal in the 49th minute.
Mariana Avina assisted on the goal, playing the ball to Bargallo for her fourth goal of the season.
Bargallo would put TAMIU up a goal less than 10 minutes later. Bargallo picked up her fifth goal of the season in the 58th minute. The unassisted goal would put TAMIU ahead 2-1.
The Hillcats managed a 79th minute goal to tie the game. The final 10 minutes were played with no score, sending the game into overtime.
TAMIU out-shot RSU in the final 20 minutes of overtime 7-2 but could not find the back of the net.

Felipe Arias commented after the game "The statistics are a representation of what happened during the course of the game. We made a great effort in the 110 minutes. We had many chances to put the game away. I congratulate our players for the great effort."
The draw sets TAMIU up for a re-match with Newman on Saturday. The game will be played in Wichita, Kansas, play is set to begin at 12 pm CST.
