EDINBURG, Texas (October 4, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Soccer team played a mid-week game, facing off with UT- Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday. TAMIU was dealt a 0-5 loss to Western Athletic Conference member, UTRGV. The Dustdevils are now 0-11 overall (0-7 HC).
The Vaqueros came out strong in the first half of play, netting two goals. UTRGV kept TAMIU from attacking, holding the Dustdevils to 0 shots through 45 minutes.
TAMIU came out strong in the second half, attacking with more intensity throughout the final 45 minutes.
The Vaqueros would add three more goals in the second half of play, while holding TAMIU to just one shot.
TAMIU will play their next game on Saturday, October 8. The Dustdevils resume Heartland Conference play against St. Mary's. The match is set to begin at 5pm CST.
