LAREDO, Texas (October 18, 2017) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Volleyball team returns home for a match agaist St. Edward's University on Thursday, October 19. 

Thursday's match marks the annual Dig Pink match to benefit breast cancer awareness. Teams and event staff will sport special Dig Pink t-shirts with a limited number available as giveaways. The first 25 fans to the match will also receive a free TAMIU Athletic Training breast cancer awareness wristband. 

The Dustdevils come into Thursdays match after a 0-3 loss to St. Mary's University just one week ago. TAMIU holds a conference record of 0-6 and an overall record of 2-18. Thursday's match opens a two-game home stand with Dallas Baptist visiting Laredo on Saturday, October 21. 

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS:
The Dustdevils will face of with St. Edward's for the second time this season. In their last matchup, TAMIU fell 0-3 in Austin. The Hilltoppers come into Thursday's match after two straight wins. SEU picked up a 3-0 win over Dallas Baptist last Thursday and previously defeated UT-Permian Basin 3-1. The Hilltoppers have a conference record of 3-3 and sit at 13-7 overall. 

Katie Martin paces the Hilltopper's offensively with 200 kills and 19 aces. Julia Hartley leads the team with 407 assists. Morgan Beckham is the team leader in digs with 452 thus far. Mikayla Parker has tallied 91 blocks in 20 games for SEU. 

The Hilltoppers and Dustdevils have faced off 26 times historically and SEU leads the all-time series 19-7.

TAMIU LEADERS:
Leah McManus, Ronnie Fountain, and Yuliia Hupkovska continue to lead the Dustdevils offensively. McManus leads the team with 149 kills while Hupkovska and McManus have each picked up 19 aces. Fountain has recorded 489 assists through 20 games. Lacy Asdourian leads the Dustdevils with 241 digs and Panebi Shirey has added 42 blocks.
