SAN ANGELO, Texas (April 15, 2017) – The Texas A&M International University Baseball team closed a three game series with #7 Angelo State on Saturday. The Dustdevils fell 2--5, moving to 10-24 overall.
TAMIU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in Saturday's ballgame.
Alex Medina drove home
Jeremy Valadez in the first inning on an RBI single up the middle.
The Dustdevils would keep the nations #7 team off the board until the third inning when the Rams put up a pair of runs, taking a 2-1 lead.
Medina brought the game even in the sixth, picking up his second RBI of the afternoon. Medina hit a sacrifice fly to center, driving in Valadez for the second time.
The Rams picked up the go ahead run in the seventh inning, pushing the lead to three with a pair of runs in the eighth.
Eddie Rodriguez got the nod on the mound, tossing six and a third. Rodriguez allowed three runs on six hits, moving to 1-3 on the season.
Eleazar Rojas tossed two thirds of an inning before
Nick Perales tossed the final inning.

The Dustdevils play one more game on the road before returning home for a weekend series. TAMIU will take on Texas A&M Kingsville on Tuesday, April 18. First pitch from Kingsville, Texas is set for 6pm.
