GOODWELL, Oklahoma (April 28, 2017) - The Texas A&M International University Baseball team closed out a three game series with Oklahoma Panhandle on Friday. The Dustdevils fell 4-5, moving to 12-29 overall (6-15 Heartland Conference).
The Dustdevils jumped out to an early lead in the first inning after
Ricky Gonzalez sent a grand slam out of the park, scoring
William Mora,
Jeremy Valadez, and
Mario Ramirez.
OPSU would come back to score a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, cutting the lead to two.
A third inning Aggie run in the third would cut the Dustdevil lead to one.
OPSU would use a two-run walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth to take the ballgame 5-4.
Kyle Keischnick got the nod on the mound, tossing two innings for TAMIU.
Jorge Gonzalez would relive Keischnick in the third, tossing six innings. Gonzalez struck out seven Aggies.
Nick Perales would toss one third of an inning, taking the loss in the ninth.

TAMIU returns home for the final regular season series of the 2017 series. TAMIU will host Newman University, play is set to begin at Uni-trade Stadium on Friday, May 5. First pitch is slated for 3pm.
