Box Score FORT SMITH, Arkansas (January 18, 2018) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Basketball team opened a two-game road trip at Arkansas-Fort Smith on Thursday night. The Dustdevils fell 43-76, falling to 2-17 overall and 0-5 in Heartland action.
AFTER 1: TAMIU 14 - UAFS 21
The Dustdevils would find themselves on the wrong end of a hot start for UAFS. The Lady Lions put up 21 points in the first quarter while holding the Dustdevils to just 14. Through 10 minutes of play, TAMIU trailed by seven points.
AT THE HALF: TAMIU 20 - UAFS 42
The Lady Lions would put up 21 points for the second straight quarter in the second. The Dustdevils would struggle offensively, only posting six points, allowing UAFS to jump ahead by 22 after 20 minutes of play.
AFTER 3: TAMIU 31 - UAFS 60
The Lady Lions lead would stretch to 29 after 30 minutes of action as TAMIU was outscored 18-11 in the third quarter.
FINAL SCORE: TAMIU 43 - UAFS 76
The DUstdevils would be unable to keep the Lady Lions from extending their lead late in the game as UAFS put up 16 points in the final quarter, holding TAMIU to 12.
TAMIU STAT LEADERS:
Julia Hanni led the Dustdevils in scoring for the first time all season. Hanni picked up 11 points and a team-high five rebounds
(tied with Kydell Pearson).

The Dustdevils travel to Claremore, Oklahoma for a showdown with Rogers State on Saturday, January 20. Tip-off is set for 1pm.
