LAREDO, Texas. - Texas A&M International (6-6-2, 5-5-1 HC) captured the 1-0 win over Lubbock Christian (7-4-3, 5-3-3 HC) in an overtime thriller on Thursday.

Throughout the first half, both teams had opportunities to score, but neither could capitalize on them. TAMIU had three shots saved in the opening period, with two coming from Rafael Montabes and one coming from Elias Perales. 

The second half told the same story as the first, with both team missing scoring opportunities. 

Finally, in the 107th minute, Perales received a pass from Ruben Nielsen and took a shot from just inside the left side of the penalty box that sailed just inside the right post of the goal to seal the victory 1-0.

The Dustdevils will close out the home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 20 as they play host to UT Permian Basin on Senior Day at 1 p.m.
