Dustdevils Drop Decision To Texas A&M Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, Texas - Texas A&M International men's basketball (2-4) fell in a 57-42 decision to Texas A&M Kingsville (2-2) on Tuesday.

Xabier Gomez led the Dustdevils with 17 points as well as three rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block. Tom Higgins put up eight points with eight rebounds and two assists. Brent Finn contributed eight points and two rebounds.

TAMIU came out hot, as they opened on a 12-1 run. However, the Javelinas battled all half and pulled with in one point with over two minutes left in the half, and took their first lead at 20-18 with 30 seconds left in the half.

TAMUK took control in the second half and pushed their lead out to 12 at 38-26 with 12:44 left in the game. They continued to roll and pushed out to their largest lead of the game and took the victory 57-42.

The Dustdevils will be back in action as they travel to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic this weekend, and will face off against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Fri., Nov. 23 at 3 p.m.
