AUSTIN, Texas (May 3, 2018) - The Texas A&M International University Baseball team opens play in the final regular season series of the season on Friday in Austin, Texas.
The Dustdevils face off in a four-game set with the Hilltoppers of St. Edwards with first pitch on Friday set for 1:30 p.m.

The four-game series will be played Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5.

LOOKING AT THE HILLTOPPERS:
St. Edward's enters play after sweeping Lubbock Christian at Hamilton-Lucian Field last weekend. The Hilltoppers defeated the Chaps 8-0, 12-6, 4-0, 9-0, picking up three shutouts. The Hilltoppers enter play at 27-18 overall while posting a Heartland Conference record of 15-9.
William Hairston leads the team at the plate (.386 AVG | 7 HR | 26 RBI) while TJ Giselbach has six homeruns and a team-high 42 RBI.
On the mound, the Hilltoppers look to Tanner Lawson. Lawson has tossed 75 and a third this season, posting a 9-2 record with an ERA of 2.51. Romeo Cortina leads the team with 94 strikeouts in 72 innings.
THE DUSTDEVILS:
TAMIU enters play at 12-33 with a conference record of 4-20. The Dustdevils fell to St. Mary's in a four-game series at home last weekend.
Mario Ramirez leads the team at the plate with a .314 average, playing and starting in 35 games this season.
Ricky Gonzalez tops the Dustdevils with 23 RBI this season.
