The story of the first half was the Patriots shooting from beyond the arc. DBU shot 8-for-19 from the perimeter in the first half, with Conner Lidiak shooting and impressive 4-for-6. TAMIU managed to hang around though, keeping the deficit to single digits for a majority of the half. However, the Patriots led 33-22 going into the break.
The Dustdevils tightened up on defense in the second half, holding DBU to just 4-for-13 from three and 9-for-25 from the field. TAMIU was able to trim the lead 41-35 with just under 13 minutes left. Unfortunately, the Dustdevils couldn't get the shots to fall to back up their performance on defense. DBU eventually took the win 62-51.
